A selection of the hundreds of keloids and hypertrophic scars treated by Dr Buckley, photographed before and after. Several are followed up years later, which matters with keloids because recurrence is the thing you are trying to avoid.
Every photograph here is of a real patient treated at the Kerry Skin Clinic, published with their consent. The captions are Dr Buckley’s own, taken from the clinical record.
Results vary considerably. Size, age, site and skin type all change what is achievable, and no treatment removes a scar completely — what you are looking at is a scar made smaller and less noticeable, not skin returned to normal. These are not a guarantee of what any individual result will look like.
Clinical photographs are showing
These are real photographs of scars before, during and after treatment, including wounds part-way through healing.

Ear keloid — week by week healing
Ear
A single session of intralesional cryosurgery, photographed from treatment through to week seven. This sequence shows what healing actually looks like: swelling, then blistering and weeping, then a dry scab that separates on its own.
